Life & Travels Afloat in our Moody

2013 Passage to Portugal

In mid-2012, the life-changing decision was taken that we would go travelling. Having missed out on the gap-year antics of todays students, it was our turn. So then it was a matter of giving up our jobs, and going for it! In our case, the plan was to go sailing, and as soon as the decision was formally confirmed, we entered the ARC Rally Portugal. Our friends Sally & Ian Brearley did it last year, and highly recommended it. Not just for the company, but also because it was cheaper than trying to do so independently.

So Stage 1 of this travel blog is about sailing from Gosport to Lagos, on the Algarve in Portugal during late May through to the end of June. Click on the ‘England to Portugal’ Category in the bottom right hand corner to read about our travels.
