Hi!
Welome to our blog! After too many years of corporate life, we decided to make a major lifestyle change in 2013. That is not to say it was a sudden ‘off the wall’ idea, given that it has been 10 years in the making, but the Good Lord has made it all possible this year!
So where do we start? We, Steve & Annemarie, have spent most of their lives about as far from the sea as you can get in the UK. Yet we have been drawn to the sea all our lives. Years ago we decided that if we wanted to travel, we needed to learn to sail, so we did! For the last 11 years we have spent our weekends and holidays wandering around the South Coast, France and the Channel Islands. The limitation has always been how far we could get there and back in no more than 3 weeks.
This year is going to be different, so we set up this blog to tell friends and acquaintances about our adventures. Hopefully it will not turn out to be terminally tedious, and who knows, it might even inspire some to go for it themselves…
