Freebooter

Life & Travels Afloat in our Moody

Exploring Southern Africa

NKO_3449

When we left England in 2013, our expectation was to be living aboard Freebooter for the forseeable future with periodic visits back to the UK to see family and friends.

However the Good Lord had other plans for us, and so we found our time divided between South Africa and the West Indies. So having been given that opportunity, land exploration has also been taken up.

Sadly many folk have been put off visiting this incredible part of the world by scary stories around personal safety from people (mainly) and wild animals. So this part of our travel story is unashamedly going to be laden with photos to both show you what you are missing, and to encourage you to come and see for yourselves.

As part of that intent, we will also do some lifestyle commentary to help you understand what it is like to visit/live in this part of the world, and some do’s and don’ts for visitors.

One life, live it!
