It came as something of a relief to leave the marina and get out to sea again. A massed start makes for good spectator viewing, but was let down by some very inconsiderate seamanship by a few. It was therefore an even greater relief to reach clear water!
The first 24 hours saw very fluky winds, and necessitated some motoring. Since then it been a mix of NE through to the S, making for some changes of course. However there is a messy weather system in the area, and we may end up with little or no wind over the next 48 hours.
Currently about 450nm from Las Palmas, leaving a mere 2,500nm or so to the rum punch…
Look whose hiding in the background….
