Water buffalo look benign and lazy, but this hides a fiercely protective nature and care needs to be taken around them. Telephoto lenses are highly recommended.

A termite mound that has been attacked by a honey badger!

Tall story – yes, that is a young male giraffe putting its nose in the females urine stream! They have a sensors in their mouth that tell them when a female is likely to be receptive to their charms. But this guy is just too young to be in with a chance!

We don’t apologise for the number of photos, as this was the objective of our trip. It is so difficult to convey the absolute magic of the creatures that life in the the bush, and the sheer glory of creation.
